Choose the destination country. The calculator starts from that country’s lowest per-minute rate, the same “from” price shown on our rates page.

Enter the call length in minutes (15, or 4:30 for four and a half minutes). Calls are billed per started minute, so 4:30 counts as 5 minutes.

Optional: type the exact number. Mobiles and some networks cost more than the lowest rate, so we look up the price of that number and recalculate.

Compare the total with the credit packages to see how many minutes each top-up buys at that rate.
Why the price depends on the number, not just the country
Carriers charge differently for landlines, mobiles and special numbers inside the same country. That is why every country page shows a “from” price: the cheapest range we connect to. In many countries a call to a mobile costs more than that.
When you type a number, the calculator asks our live price list for that number’s exact per-minute rate, the same rate the dialer shows before you call.
What you pay for, and what you don’t
You pay only for connected time, per started minute. Calls nobody answers and busy lines are free; if voicemail picks up, the call is connected and billed like any other. There is no monthly fee and no connection fee, and credit does not expire.
Your first 1-minute call is free for destinations that cost up to $0.25/min.
Where you are does not change the price
Hyallo runs in your browser, so the price depends on the number you call, not on the country you are in: calling Brazil costs the same from Lisbon, Boston or São Paulo. If you show your own verified number as caller ID, a few destinations are priced from that number’s country instead; the dialer always shows the exact rate before you call.

Per started minute of connected time: a call of 2 minutes and 5 seconds is billed as 3 minutes. Calls that are not answered cost nothing.
How many minutes does $10.00 of credit buy?
It depends on the country: at $0.01/min it is 1000 minutes. The table under the calculator shows it for every package and the country you pick.
Does credit expire?
No. Credit stays in your account until you use it, and there is no monthly fee.
