A toll-free number is paid for by the company that owns it, and only for calls from inside the US (sometimes Canada). Most foreign carriers can't route a call to one at all, and you hear a failed-call tone or an error message.
When a call does go through from a foreign or roaming phone, it is charged as an international call — often at roaming rates — for as long as you are on hold.
WhatsApp calls only reach WhatsApp users, and apps that call phone numbers often can't reach US toll-free numbers from outside the US.
A US number is toll-free when it starts with one of these area codes. Hyallo calls all seven at the same price.
$0.02 per minute to any US toll-free number, and $0.02 per minute to a regular US number, such as a company's line for callers abroad. You pay only for connected time, billed per started minute, and hold time counts as call time. Unanswered calls are free. No subscription: top up credit and use it when you need it.

No. Hyallo can't place collect or operator-assisted calls. When a company lists a collect number for callers abroad, you can dial it from Hyallo as a regular US call, or call its toll-free number instead.
No. Hyallo is an independent calling service. We list numbers exactly as each company publishes them on its own website, with the date we checked, so you can verify them before you call.
