Do I need a US SIM card or a US phone plan?
You make the call over the internet through Hyallo, so you don’t need a US SIM or US calling plan. You do need a supported browser, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Your internet provider’s data charges may apply.
Does the person I call need Hyallo?
No. The recipient answers on their regular landline or mobile phone. They don’t need to install an app or create an account.
How do I enter a US number?
With United States selected, enter the 10-digit number: the three-digit area code followed by the seven-digit local number. The US country code is +1. Check the business’s opening hours in its local time zone before calling.
Can I call toll-free or special numbers?
Availability varies by number. A US toll-free number is not necessarily free to call through Hyallo. Check its rate first; if it cannot be reached, look for the business’s regular geographic number for international callers. Hyallo is not an emergency calling service.
Will I get a US number for callbacks or SMS?
This service is for outbound calls. It does not provide a US number for incoming calls or verification texts. If you need a callback, agree on another way to be contacted.
