Questions about TIM international calls
What is TIM’s code for international calls?
41. Dial 00, then 41, then the country code and the number: for a US number, 00 41 1 and the 10 digits.
How much does it cost to call the US with TIM?
R$ 0,50 (≈ R$ 0,63 with tax) per minute with TIM. On Hyallo the same call costs R$ 0,10 per minute.
Can I use another carrier’s code?
Yes. In Brazil you choose the long-distance carrier on every call by its code, so a TIM customer can also dial Embratel’s 21. Some prices, such as TIM’s 41 promotion, apply only to that carrier’s own customers.
Do I pay for a call nobody answers?
On Hyallo, no: you pay only for connected minutes, counted per started minute. Carriers bill answered calls with their own minimums (Embratel: 30 seconds, then every 6 seconds).
