"Unknown number" calls go unanswered
Most calling apps show the recipient a random international number, and most people no longer pick up numbers they don't recognize — especially a foreign one. That kills exactly the calls that matter most: your bank, your landlord, or a client you're following up with.
How it works
Add any phone number you can receive an SMS on — your mobile, a business line, whatever the recipient already knows.
Hyallo texts a one-time code to that number. Enter it and the number is verified as yours.
Every outbound call after that shows your verified number as the caller ID, automatically — nothing to select per call.
Set up your caller ID in under a minute
In your dashboard, open the My Numbers tab.
Type the phone number you want to show as your caller ID and request the SMS code.
Confirm the code Hyallo texted you. The number is now verified.
Dial from your browser — your verified number shows up on the other end.
The limits, honestly
Verifying a number costs a real SMS, so the feature is deliberately gated to stop it being abused for SMS-pumping fraud: you need at least one completed credit purchase before you can add a number, each new number is rate-limited, and there is a short cooldown before a code can be re-sent.
Per account — enough for a personal and a work number.
Verification opens up after your first credit purchase — it keeps throwaway accounts from farming free verification texts.
If a code doesn't arrive instantly, wait a minute before requesting another one.

Do I need my own phone plan to verify a number?
You just need to be able to receive one SMS on it to confirm the code — it can be a prepaid SIM, a work line, or a number a family member lets you use.
Can I switch which number shows as my caller ID?
Yes — once a second number is verified you can pick which one to use as the caller ID from My Numbers.
Can someone else's number be verified as my caller ID?
No — verification proves you control the number by texting a code to it, so you can only verify numbers you can actually receive SMS on.
